The power of prayer, eh? Then there should be no homeless, hungry, poor, diseased, murdered, raped, handicapped, etc, etc because prayer works, right? God was just Tebowing but some elderly couple is losing their home and can't pay for their medication. Prayer works? Africa is still Africa. Prayer works? That child is dying of cancer while the drug dealer is living the high life. Prayer works? Etc, etc, etc, and etc. Prayer works? Go pray see what happens. Millions of people pray for changes but nothing occurs. There are people that are born into bad situations. Ones where your God put them their. If it is true your God has a plan for you then these people suffer for his amusement and glory. Why should they pray in hope God's fixes his mistakes? Why should they praise? Why should they be judged? They never asked to be here.
You can never go wrong with God because anything is possible? Nice saying sound great but actions speak louder and proof makes you a believer. The only thing that works is the power to trick and profit off of using fear and reward to control you into insanity and ignorance. Look around at the world. People pray every day. Nothing changes. Either your God is a deadbeat father or your God doesn't exist. What you say is not happening. Let me guess your God works in mysterious ways? There are things your God doesn't want us to know? I've learned religious sayings like that are made out of convenience. They have tons of these sayings. They never have answers. They do have bumper stickers, mouse pad covers, coffee mugs and t-shirts full of quotes. They say you have to have faith. Faith takes away your ability to reason. Faith should come from a good tack record of results.
Religion is getting old. It's an outdated concept with old world views. It's not relevant for educational purposes. Let's keep masochism, mental abuse and torture back in the dark ages where it belongs, ok? That's what it is. Religion does more harm that good. Religion is a health risk. Once you snap out of it it becomes a psychological mind fuck to deal with. The people who run it is just as bad. They have a free pass to say crazy off the wall statements. Your faith is a personal experience. That does not mean it is truth. The burden of proof is on you. Not the rest of us. We're not the ones making outrageous claims. It shouldn't be mainstream until proven otherwise. I get more hope out of a cool ranch Doritos then prayer. It fulfills me. Let Walt Disney be in charge of the fairy tales. Mickey Mouse exists because we seen him. God is just silly.
